On 5th September, I'm turning 24. And this year like the last, I don't want presents or drinks. I want clean water.
Women and children in Rwanda walk for hours every day, up and down mountains, just to collect water from rivers. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick.
Terrible right? Well, we can actually do something about it. Just $65 can give someone in Rwanda clean water.
So I'm asking everyone for my age in donations. Give $24 or any amount you're comfortable with and help me give life's most basic need.
My goal is to raise $1000 by the end of my birthday month and charity:water's September campaign. This will help 3 families get clean drinking water.
The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects in the Rwanda, and when those projects are complete (which takes about 18 months), charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the communities we've helped! I can't think of a better birthday gift.
