On July 14th, I'm doing the Seattle to Portland bike ride. Sounds fun, right? Ha! It's 202 miles on one of those silly hard bike seats!!!

Last year I raised money by doing a triathlon. This year I picked something waaaaaay harder.

Why do I keep doing stuff like this?

Every week, millions of women and their children walk more than 14 miles just to get water for their families. Most of this water is contaminated, but it's the only water they have. They take the chance of contracting deadly diarrheal diseases with every sip. There's nothing they can do to change this.

So, I figure I can beat my body silly and make my friends feel bad so they will give money for people who in actuality have it much worse!

My mission is to raise $1000 for water. That will give approximately 50 people clean drinking water for 20 years! Totally worth it, wouldn't you say?

The best part: 100% of everything we raise will go straight to building water projects in the field. Then, when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us just where they are and who they're helping (with GPS coordinates, photos and other details). We'll be able to see the communities we've impacted.

Look... This is ridiculously hard! My legs are killing me almost every day. I dropped a pen on the ground today and had to think twice about picking it up! Haha... Please join me in this effort.
