Welcome from the DangerBears! As a group, we try to make music that matters to us and matters to others; sometimes, that's bringing a smile, sometimes that's making people think a little more about themselves. This time around, though, we want to do something that matters for someone new.

The Sahel is a narrow band of Africa, just below the Sahara. Home to some of the world's harshest conditions, this region's inhabitants are frequently affected by drought and famine, and access to clean drinking water is limited at best. Women and children, who walk miles through this ubiquely forbidding environment to dangerous and unclean wells, are left without the time, energy or conditions to support opportunities for work or education. This September, charity water is taking on the elements in the Sahel; every new campaign for the month will be devoted to bringing the people of Mali and Niger solutions to the water problem like safer wells and solar-powered water draw systems.

We are so very privileged to be able to share our love of music with you, and excited beyond words to use that love of music to help provide the people of the Sahel with the means of creating a better living. Every day, we take clean water for granted in an astounding range of applications, from the kitchen to our lawns, from what we use to shower to what we drink. Today, we can be a part of something amazing - bringing easier access to this most basic of needs to our brothers and sisters in the Sahel. Every single cent donated to this campaign can be tracked and the progress on these projects will be continually updated as time goes on. Help us help this fantastic cause!
