On Friday, October 12 I'm turning 41. And this year, I don't want presents. I want clean water. Food, water, and shelter are the three basic necessities of life. I know that I take it for granted that every time I turn on the faucet I have clean water to drink. Unfortunately, people all over the world do not have that luxury.

I'm asking everyone I know for a donation to help this cause -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). Charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made.
