Well, I'm a bit late with this. But I still think it's important. So, this year, instead of buying me a present I don't need, how about buying someone else a present they do need? It can be $1 or $10, or even $21 to celebrate my age (sorry, but it's in USD). Every bit counts!
None of the money will go to me, 100% goes to bringing people fresh, clean water. I think this is one of the most important things in the world, far more so than what costume I'm going to wear to my party.
So, please help me help someone else!
Here's what the experts had to say:
"A billion people in the world are living without clean water - but how much are they really living? Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 45,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still walk hours each day to get dirty water to give to their families.
please note: Because of charity: water's unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to direct water projects costs, and each donation is "proved" and tracked to the village it helped when projects are complete."
Cheers
Chris
