This year I'm planning on running in three half marathons. This will be my fifth year of running half marathons, and while I still love the excitement, the crowds cheering you on, and of course the free schwag and medal, I thought that this year it could be about more.

I plan on finishing three races this year (39.3 miles!). Sounds rough, right? Well, imagine doing all of that without clean water.

Every week, millions of women and their children walk more than 14 miles just to get water for their families. More than a half marathon every week!

Most of this water is contaminated, but it's the only water they have. They take the chance of contracting deadly diarrheal diseases with every sip. There's nothing they can do to change this.

So this year, I want to run for more than just myself and my wellbeing.

My mission is to raise $500 for water. I want every lumbering step I take this year to matter. I'm asking for pledges to keep me trucking along towards my goal. I even promise to share all my free samples with everyone! =)
