There are a lot of interesting things about the number 70. Did you know the Roman numeral for 70 is LXX? That 70 is the common speed limit for freeways in the US? Or that in the cultures of China, Japan and Korea, 70 years old is called the Rare Age of the Olden Times?

70 is also the age of the greatest man I've ever known. A man who taught me patience (though it took quite some time) and a man who taught me that it's better to give than to receive.

With that idea in mind, I ask you to help celebrate Wilber Passmore's special day by giving to this charity: water birthday campaign.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink. But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 1,400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I'm starting this fundraising campaign as my gift to my father and to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world. I would love it if you would join me.
