This year on 2/9/2010 I'll be turning the big 2-7. I know, huge deal. :)
Instead of focusing on the fact that I am now in my LATE 20's, ha ha, I've decided to focus on celebrating my birthday like never before.
I found out that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. The reason why? They didn't have access to clean, safe water.
My goal is to raise $500.00 by my birthday, 2/09/2010 and I'm asking for $27.00 from everyone I know in order to do so. Every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
Please consider helping me commemorate my 27th year on this earth with something that will have more impact than left over birthday cake by donating whatever you are able to give.
