You might be wondering what in the world is Bao doing?

I wish I knew.

Just kidding, I do know what I'm doing. I'm turning 22 in a little over a month (August 6, 2012) YAY! And I just thought I should do something totally different this year for my birthday.

Instead of trying to gather everyone in one place to celebrate my existence in this world for twenty-two years, I simply want to gather everyone here on the internet world to let you all know what I'm doing this year for my 22nd birthday.

I'm partnering with CHARITY: WATER to raise $500.00 to fund clean water projects in developing nations. That's why my little campaign name is call 500by08062012, meaning $500.00 by my 22nd birthday August 6, 2012.

As it is said above, "100% of your donation directly funds clean water projects in developing nations." ALL.OF.IT.

How I did I find out about CHARITY: WATER? I was extremely inspired by Brooke Fraser's birthday campaign a couple of years ago where she raised over $50,000 to fund clean water projects in Ethiopia. Read more about it here: http://www.brookefraser.com/blog/
I thought to myself, this year has been exceptionally different (in a good way), allowing me to learn from my mistakes and truly grow as a woman. I don't want to just talk about making a difference, I really want my passion to be put into action; talking about it can sound good and can make me feel good, but it's only by action where it comes to a full circle.So, why not make it extra cool by doing something that is out of my comfort zone.

I know I cannot do this all by myself that is why I am asking for your help too! To all my local friends and families, I will be starting another EGG-ROLL FUNDRAISER to help with this project. Not only are you generously helping me with this project, you also get authentic egg-rolls made from me!

The price is as usual: 1 dozen for $10+.
You may start placing your order(s) on July 1, 2012 and your order(s) will be ready to be pick up (at my place) or deliver on the last week of July 22-28, 2012.

If you just simply want to donate that is perfectly fine also. I'm asking for $22 from everyone I know -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!

CHARITY: WATER is giving me about two months to fund-raised, but that's too much time haha I know I'm crazy. I want 500by08062012 to be finish and ready to go by August 06, 2012 (I'm a bit of an over-achiever sometimes...).
