Millions of people in the world are living without the clean water we take for granted in America, let's help them!
My mom was physical therapist teacher between being employed at hospitals. She was always willing to meet with students outside of class to help them study for boards, even after she was diagnosed. She lived her life helping others. While she was sick, I wanted so bad to do something charitable like she did to help those in need.
Two years later, I was introduced to Charity Water and heard the remarkable story of how they are changing how non-profit organizations are truly changing the world through donations. Charity Water is bringing clean water to areas within the world that don’t have the luxury of faucets or even bacteria free water. Charity Water was started because the founder (Scott Harrison) was volunteering on Mercy Ships and found that in the regions they visited, 80% of diseases were attributed to unclean water. Charity Water tracks all donations to the dollar and shows via Google Maps and Go Pro images of the water wells being created, from start to finish.
The average cost of a well of clean water ranges from $6,000-$10,000. My goal for this campaign is to raise $3,000. With this campaign, I personally will match up to $3,000. For the month of September, a generous donor is also matching all Charity Water campaign contributions. This means that for every dollar donated to my campaign has 4 times the effect. My goal of raising $3,000 would result in more than enough raised for the most expensive well.
In America clean water is taken for granted. Help me begin my journey to make charitable contributions to the world just like my mom did and help raise money to give others in the world a chance to drink clean water.
