Well, my 27th birthday is almost here...

While I am not usually excited about getting older, this year I am extremely thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year! This past August I was privileged to see Scott Harrison, the founder of Charity:Water speak in-person about the organization. Through Scott's captivating story and presentation, I learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they do not have access to clean, safe drinking water.

We can help change that.

I am asking for my age in dollars from everyone that I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities that we helped.

Please help me celebrate my birthday and reach my donation goal of $1,000. While turning 27 this year only puts me a step closer to thirty...$27 will give a person in need clean drinking water for an entire year.
