Inspired by my friends Janie and Mai, who have done similar projects for their birthdays, I wanted my birthday to mean something more than simply turning a year older.

We are more fortunate than we realize, being able to wake up and shower in clean water, to swim, to cook, to wash our cars, to drink a glass of cold water, whenever we want. Many of us take for granted things that many around the world will never have.

As I turn 25 this year, I do not need or want gifts, drinks, or anything else. Instead, please help me celebrate by giving the gift of clean water to those less fortunate. Every single dollar counts, and I really appreciate if you can help. Together we can make a measurable difference. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.
