This Thanksgiving, give water. While we give thanks for our health and families, nearly one billion people around the world will be living without access to clean and safe drinking water.

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren’t strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses. We can put a stop to this.

As we sit down for Thanksgiving dinner this year and reflect on all the things we are so lucky to have, I’m hoping to raise enough money to build a well and give a community with less to be thankful for access to one of life’s most basic necessities: water.
