Water is the stuff of life. A basic human right. A gift, often taken for granted. Over 1.1 billion people are not provided with safe water, whilst an approximate 2.6 billion contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. Every 20 seconds, a child dies from a water-related disease, due to lack of fresh water.

So this year, i've decided that I want to make my birthday matter. My wish is not to receive gifts that I don't need, but to give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billions of people living without it.

So I'm asking from everyone I know, to please consider kindly donating $28 for my birthday. Even $1, $10, $20, $100 - it's not going to me, it will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.

My goal is to raise $2800 by the 20/04/11. Every dollar counts, no matter what the amount is. Please join me in helping make a difference.
