goal
Clean water means health, income, and education- especially for women and children.
It's that time of year again friends! Together we have helped to ensure that communities in Ethiopia (twice!) and Nepal have access to clean water. I am excited to see what community we can help when we band together again this year to reach our goal and work to ensure that we are fighting the world water crisis. For me, this started several years ago when I learned that millions of children around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. More people die every year from lack of access to clean water than from all forms of violence combined- including war. We can help change that.
As I have in the past, I'm asking for donations to this organization in the place of gifts or well wishes. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity:water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
I continue to do this because I believe in this organization and the work that they are doing to help to find solutions to the world water crisis and to help communities in need.
Help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign!
Happy birthday!
