I'm flying to Ethiopia with charity:water for 7 days in 48 hours.

I'm going because there are a billion people who do not have access to clean drinking water and the associated costs are immense.

Lack of water hinders economic development on all levels and causes hundreds of millions to be sick.

Remember the last time you were sick?

I'm sure you didn't feel like going to work or school. Maybe I even brought you (clean) soup :)

Luckily there are straightforward, sustainable, scalable and cost effective solutions to get clean water.

As a result, $20 can buy one person clean water for 20 YEARS!

That's right, $1 for a year of clean water!

I will be in the Tigray region of Ethiopia for 9 days visiting villages where charity: water has built wells in the last year as well as villages and schools that badly need wells.

My goal is to raise $50,000 as part of the trip.

I know that sounds like a lot, but with 1740 facebook friends it works out to only $28/friend.
