The craziest thing we can do is nothing! So our Grade 5 class at Cecil Swanson School in Calgary, Alberta decided to do... something! We joined charity: water’s Campaign this year because we believe that every person on the planet deserves clean water, and we are looking for anyone who can help us! On October 29th, we will be sitting back as students and teachers throw pies in our faces! I know it is crazy, but so is women and children walking over 2 hours a day to get dirty disease ridden water.

663 million people on this planet don’t have access to clean water. That’s 1 in 11 of us!

That means 1 out of 11 people in our world is drinking water that comes from a river, lake or muddy hole in the ground every day. Dirty, contaminated water that has leeches and debris in it. Water that causes disease, keeps kids out of school and takes hours to bring back home.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects for people in need, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
