***This is Part Two of my birthday campaign. Part One closed at the end of 2015 and all donations will be going to build a well in Ethiopia. We raised $620 in 2015!
For Part Two, I am being ambitious in trying to raise $380 to round out the $1000!***

This year, I have chosen to give up my 24th birthday on January 19th in order to give people access to clean water. This means I don't want presents, gift cards or money - just donations!

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I've spent the past two years volunteering here in New York City with charity: water and I've been able to see the amazing impact this non profit has had on the world. Together, we can make sure that the over 663 million people left without clean water get access within the next fifteen years.
This year, I want to give up my birthday in order to help build a well that will get a village in a small country access to clean water. That is one birthday and a couple hundred dollars for a lifetime of water. Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. Please know that only $30 will give one person access to clean water - I'm not asking for much!
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

If you have 20 minutes to spare, please watch this incredible short film on the history of charity: water's founder Scott Harrison and his decision to turn his life around to get other people clean water. PSA: don't watch at work - you will tear up. Please check it out! I dedicate a lot of my free time to this organization and the work that they do. It's truly incredible to see their passion saving other people's lives.
Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know that my campaignfinally closed last night and I was able to raise $1055 for clean water for everyone! That is more than 1/10th of a well and 35 people that get clean water because of you all! My original goal was $750, and then when I had to open part two of my campaign, I raised the goal to an ambitious $1000. And thanks to beautiful souls like everyone here who donated, I was able to surpass that goal and I am filled with emotions because of it! I'm glad that you all want to change the world with me. Thank you again for your generosity!
