This year, I have chosen to give up my 24th birthday on January 19th in order to give people access to clean water. This means I don't want presents, gift cards or money - just donations!

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I've spent the past two years volunteering here in New York City with charity: water and I've been able to see the amazing impact this non profit has had on the world. Together, we can make sure that the over 663 million people left without clean water get access within the next fifteen years.

This year, I want to give up my birthday in order to help build a well that will get a village in a small country access to clean water. That is one birthday and a couple hundred dollars for a lifetime of water. Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. Please know that only $30 will give one person access to clean water - I'm not asking for much!

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
