My birthday is almost here which means I'm almost home! I'm not usually excited about getting older (I'm usually pretty apathetic about it), but this year I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year.

For those of you who may not have known, I have been living in Jakarta, Indonesia since last October teaching English. I love learning about new cultures, exploring new places and (of course) meeting new people, so if I could travel while I help others learn about new cultures and meet new people also, that's a bonus for me!

Unfortunately, for too many people around the world in developing areas, it is difficult to get clean water if there is even access to any clean water at all.

I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. I also understand that I'm old so $32 can be a lot of money but if that's too much for you to afford, every cent helps! Please help in any way you can. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
