Why Cardboard Shell is fundraising for clean water

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

And we've helped to build a LOT of them.

This campaign is two-fold:

1) To celebrate my 2nd place finish at the Nathan's Hot Dog Contest. WOOOOO! Thanks to everyone who helped push me to train by donating to my charity:water campaign. I had to force in 10 practices in under 2 months - while traveling for other contests.

2) To help me train for the Day Lee Foods World Gyoza Eating Championship. I'm donating $500 to this campaign from my Nathan's prize money. But for every extra $100 donated, I'll do a weird facebook live video where I practice speed eating or capacity training to prep for Gyoza (which are surprisingly hard to find sometimes).

So what do you say? Can you spare a buck to help someone get clean water for an entire year? Literally. Every dollar gets someone clean water for a YEAR.

So... how much time you got?

P.S.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
