Hi there! My name's Amy, I live in sunny South Africa, and I am turning 22 on 8 December.
Instead of receiving gifts this year, I've decided to pledge my birthday to charity: water to provide clean water for people. In short, charity: water is working around the world to end the water crisis, and all the money raised from this campaign will help them do just that. 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped - how cool?!
It costs $30 or R441 to provide clean water for 1 person. The great thing about the campaign is that you can donate whatever amount you want! Even $1 or R15 will mean so much to me, and will make SUCH a big difference.
